What is stranger chat?

Stranger chat is one-on-one conversation with a person you have never met. You join a queue, the matchmaker finds you a partner somewhere in the world, and your messages are relayed live until one of you presses Next or Stop.

There are no profiles and no expectations. Because every match starts from a blank page, stranger chat is one of the fastest ways to hear how differently people think, talk and live.

How matching works

When you join, you enter a text or video queue. The matchmaker picks a partner using three rules: shared interests when both people set them, a short cooldown so you never bounce back to the same stranger, and a permanent block list so anyone you blocked can never reach you again.

If your interest is very specific, the system gently relaxes it after a short wait so you still get matched instead of waiting forever. Most people connect in under two seconds, and you can skip as often as you like.
